Bordering Greater London, Buckinghamshire is ideally placed on the London commuter belt for easy access to and from London by train, road and underground!

The home county of Buckinghamshire borders Greater London, It forms part of the London commuter belt making it a great choice for a conference or event.

 

South Buckinghamshire, is just a 30-minute drive from London and close to the counties of Berkshire and Oxfordshire, as well as Northamptonshire,  Bedfordshire an,d Hertfordshire.  Major towns include Aylesbury, Marlow, High Wycombe, Amersham, Milton Keynes and Beaconsfield.

 

The county is well served by  a host of motorways, with the M1, M25 and M40 all passing through it or nearby. Most popular towns are easily accessible from central London, from London Marylebone and Paddington.  Direct train links from other surrounding cities include Oxford and Birmingham.

The Chiltern Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, provides a stunning backdrop which runs through the south of the county. To the north lies the rolling countryside in the Vale of Aylesbury and around the Great Ouse, with the Thames forming the southwestern boundary. The region has some notable amenities including the Pinewood Film Studios, Dorney rowing lake and part of Silverstone race track on the Northamptonshire border.

How to get to Buckinghamshire

By Rail

Reading is the western terminus for the new Elizabeth Line which links directly with central London, the City and Docklands. Reading is also just 22 minutes on GWR trains from Paddington. In all, Reading is reachable directly from more than 250 locations by train.

By Road

Reading is at Junctions 10/11 of the M4 and has a direct RailAir road link with Heathrow Airport (40 minutes).

Buckinghamshire’s railways are serviced by Chiltern Railways, with lines stretching from Birmingham to London Marylebone station, taking in Oxford, 

Buckinghamshire also has three London Underground stations - Chalfont & Latimer, Amersham and Chesham - which run on the Metropolitan Line, 

To get from London to the beautiful town of Marlow you would take a First Great Western train from Paddington Station.
